We have lived here since June and have been waiting for a block party or community get together to meet other residents. We heard they were planning an Octoberfest?? Not sure if that happened and we missed it or if it fell through. I realize there was a community garage sale, but that took place right during college football so we could not participate - GO CAL! We both work lots, do not have kids and are just curious when neighbors get together and get to know one another. Coming from CA, this is such a nice and quiet community and although we appreciate that, it would be nice to know one another. Thanks, The Larriva's - 9681 Leeward Way

Hello!

Thank you for your interest in a community party! A date was set for the first week on November but unfortunately the fest was postponed due to lack of available volunteers.

The good news is.....

A "polar dip" is in the works for the first week of January. I have presented the idea to the board and if they approve and we plan in advance it will be a great party. It would be on a Saturday morning and we would serve breakfast items......

If you are interested in helping organize, I would love your help! Please keep my e-mail address handy and with a few other volunteers we could really make a "splash"!

I think it is a great idea and will be glad to help with preparation and setup as needed....Maybe give a award to ones who are brave enough to dip in the pool.......Fun in winter wonderland at Parkers Landing.... Laughing
